Hours passed; Dhruvdev wandered through the streets of the city while only the image of Princess Swarnaprabha strolled through the Prince's mind. The same question flashed in his mind again and again—what is the truth behind that blindfold? And what must the Princess look like without it?
His attention finally broke only when Dhruvdev returned. Seeing that the Prince was still lying in the same state, Dhruvdev began to hum mockingly:
🎵"Laagi re lagan gori, ik tere roop ki...
Nagri mein teri gori, chhaon bhi hai dhoop si..."🎵
(I am enchanted, O fair one, by your beauty... In your city, even the shade feels like sunshine...)
The Prince was suddenly startled and glared at Dhruvdev, saying, "Back from your wandering? Here I am being tormented by hunger, and you are singing songs!"
Dhruvdev widened his eyes and quipped sarcastically, "Oh! You still feel hunger? I thought your hunger and thirst must have departed in her thoughts. Anyway, come on, I am hungrier than you."
Dhruvdev's arrow hit the mark, and the Prince was left only smiling. After dinner, when the two sat down to rest, the Prince asked, "Now tell me, which corners of the city have you explored?"
Dhruvdev said, "Just getting acquainted with the streets of Swarnapur. Now, tell me your plan."
The Prince spoke gravely, "The decision is that I will not budge from here without knowing the secret. From the information gathered so far, it seems the truth won't be known without getting close to the Princess. I have decided that I will disguise myself as a maidservant and enter the inner quarters (Antahpur). Now you tell me how this will be possible?"
Dhruvdev flared up at this audacity, "Absolutely not! Do you even know what you are saying? The Prince of Sauvirnagar working as a maid in the palace of Swarnapur? If the Maharaja finds out, he will hang me straight and you upside down! My God, I left you alone for a moment and you've lost your mind! If it is so essential, then I will take this risk. I will infiltrate the palace as a maid and bring out all the secrets."
Dhruvdev's arguments had no effect on the Prince. After a long debate, the Prince fell silent and stared intently at Dhruvdev. Dhruvdev recognized that look; he understood that once the Prince had set his mind on something, even the Creator couldn't change it.
Dhruvdev contemplated deeply for a few moments, and then both friends together prepared a solid plan. It was decided that first, Dhruvdev would enter the palace disguised as a guard and gather as much information as possible. Subsequently, he would pave the way to establish the Prince in the palace as a maidservant. While the Prince would be stationed in the inner quarters, Dhruvdev would remain outside, ready to assist him secretly.
Dhruvdev went out for a while and brought all the necessary materials to transform both of them. All night, the two considered every possible danger so that there would be no room for their secret to be revealed. For the next two days, Dhruvdev somehow kept the Prince confined to the inn and himself kept testing the waters of the palace activities by changing various disguises. When he returned two days later, he placed the entire account of the internal situation of the palace before the Prince and also suggested the easiest possibility for his entry.
In the early morning of the fourth day, both friends left the inn with the necessary materials.
At a secluded spot far from the city, Dhruvdev, displaying his skill, dressed the Prince in the guise of a 'distressed woman.' Dhruvdev was an expert in the art of espionage and had mastered the craft of disguise. Through the magic of his touch and cosmetics, the Prince remarkably began to look like a woman. The Prince also practiced speaking by making his voice as soft and feminine as possible. If there was any shortcoming, it was in the Prince's muscular build, but Dhruvdev found a solution for that too with his ingenuity. Finally, after full preparation, both friends sat hidden in an enclosure on the route of the Princess's daily commute, waiting for the right moment.
'To be continued...'

In the next episode: "The Written Fate" and "The Stubbornness of the Mind"—will the Prince's secret infiltration be able to uncover the truth hidden behind Suvarna's blindfold? Amidst the strict watch of friends and maidservants, will this 'new face' be able to make its place? Or if caught, will the Prince of Sauvirnagar have to face the dungeons of Swarnapur?
