एक बार 'अंधकार' ने सीधे विधाता के दरबार में दस्तक दी। उसकी आँखों में थकान थी और स्वर में गहरी व्यथा। उसने करबद्ध होकर शिकायत की—

​"हे प्रभु! यह सूर्य मेरे पीछे हाथ धोकर पड़ा है। सदियों से ऐसा ही चला आ रहा है—जहाँ मैं जाता हूँ, वह वहां पहुँच जाता है। मुझे क्षण भर के लिए भी विश्राम नहीं मिलता। कृपा कर सूर्यदेव को समझाएं कि वे मुझे अकारण सताना बंद करें।"

​विधाता मुस्कराए और बोले— "यह तो अनुचित है। मैं अभी सूर्यदेव को बुलाकर इसका कारण पूछता हूँ।"

​तत्काल सूर्यदेव को आह्वान किया गया। जब वे उपस्थित हुए, तो प्रभु ने गंभीर स्वर में पूछा— "सूर्यदेव! अंधकार ने आपके विरुद्ध बड़ी शिकायत की है। वह कहता है कि आप निरंतर उसके पीछे पड़े रहते हैं। आखिर ऐसा क्यों?"

​सूर्यदेव चकित रह गए। उन्होंने विनीत भाव से उत्तर दिया— "क्षमा करें प्रभु! किंतु मैंने तो आज तक कभी 'अंधकार' का चेहरा तक नहीं देखा। जब मैंने उसे देखा ही नहीं, तो मैं उसे परेशान कैसे कर सकता हूँ? आप कृपया उसे मेरे सम्मुख लाइए। यदि अनजाने में मुझसे कोई भूल हुई होगी, तो मैं सहर्ष क्षमा मांग लूँगा।"

​विधाता ने अंधकार को पुनः बुलाया, किंतु जैसे ही अंधकार सूर्य के सम्मुख आया, वह ओझल हो गया। वह अदृश्य हो गया क्योंकि सूर्य के प्रकाश में उसका कोई अस्तित्व ही नहीं था।

​सीख (The Insight):

वास्तव में, अंधकार का अपना कोई स्वतंत्र वजूद नहीं है। वह तो केवल सूर्य की 'अनुपस्थिति' (Absence) से पैदा हुआ एक 'शून्य' है, जो खुद को एक शक्ति मान बैठा था।

"दोस्तों! इस कहानी में सूर्य का प्रकाश सकारात्मकता का प्रतीक है और अंधकार नकारात्मकता का। वास्तव में, जहाँ सकारात्मकता का अभाव होता है, वहाँ जो कुछ भी शेष बचता है, वही नकारात्मकता है। जिस प्रकार सूर्य की उपस्थिति में अंधकार का कोई अस्तित्व नहीं रह जाता, ठीक उसी प्रकार जहाँ सकारात्मकता का वास होता है, वहाँ नकारात्मकता टिक ही नहीं सकती।

​बिना सूर्य या दीपक के प्रकाश के, अंधकार को किसी भी प्रकार दूर नहीं किया जा सकता, फिर चाहे आप उसे कितना भी कोसें या उसकी कितनी भी निंदा क्यों न करें। नकारात्मकता को मिटाने का सीधा प्रयत्न करना अक्सर व्यर्थ होता है। यदि प्रयास ही करना है, तो केवल सकारात्मकता के पोषण और उसके प्रसार पर ध्यान दीजिए; नकारात्मकता स्वतः ही ओझल हो जाएगी।

​संक्षेप में कहूँ तो, बुराई से केवल उतना ही लड़िए कि उसे पाँव पसारने का रिक्त स्थान और मनमानी का अवसर न मिले। अपनी शेष सारी ऊर्जा, सारा बल और समस्त संसाधन अच्छाई के पालन-पोषण में समर्पित कर दीजिए, फिर आप देखेंगे कि बुराई का दायरा स्वयं ही सिमट रहा है।

​मैंने अनुभव किया है कि बुराई की अपनी कोई मौलिक शक्ति नहीं होती; वह हमारी ही प्रतिक्रियाओं से बलवान बनती है। जब हम बुराइयों की अत्यधिक निंदा करते हैं, तो अनजाने में हम उसका विज्ञापन कर रहे होते हैं और उसे 'ग्लोरिफाई' कर देते हैं। इसके विपरीत, जब हम उसकी उपेक्षा कर देते हैं, तब हम उसे औरों तक पहुँचाने का माध्यम बनने से इनकार कर देते हैं।

​दोस्तों! आप पूरी दुनिया को बुराई से नहीं बचा सकते, किंतु स्वयं को अवश्य बचा सकते हैं। आप स्वयं अच्छाई का एक जीवंत उदाहरण और प्रतीक बन सकते हैं।"

English Translation:

🌑Darkness is an Illusion – A Symbolic Tale☀️

​Once, 'Darkness' knocked directly at the doors of the Creator’s court. There was exhaustion in its eyes and deep distress in its voice. With folded hands, it complained—

​"O Lord! This Sun is relentlessly pursuing me. It has been this way for centuries—wherever I go, it follows me there. I don't get even a moment's rest. Please make Lord Surya understand that he should stop hounding me for no reason."

​The Creator smiled and said— "This is indeed unfair. I shall summon the Sun God immediately and ask him the reason."

​Lord Surya was summoned at once. When he appeared, the Lord asked in a grave voice— "Lord Surya! Darkness has brought a serious complaint against you. It says that you are constantly chasing it. Why is that?"

​Lord Surya was astonished. He replied with humility— "Forgive me, Lord! But I have never even seen the face of 'Darkness' to this day. When I haven't seen it at all, how can I trouble it? Please bring Darkness before me. If I have committed any mistake unknowingly, I will gladly apologize."

The Creator summoned Darkness again, but as soon as Darkness came before the Sun, it vanished. it disappeared because it had no existence in the light of the Sun.

​The Insight:

In reality, darkness has no independent existence of its own. It is merely a 'void' created by the 'absence' of the Sun, which had mistaken itself for a power.

​"Friends! In this story, sunlight symbolizes positivity and darkness represents negativity. In truth, where positivity is absent, whatever remains is negativity. Just as darkness has no existence in the presence of the sun, negativity cannot persist where positivity dwells.

​Without the light of the sun or a lamp, darkness cannot be dispelled in any way, no matter how much you curse or condemn it. Trying to fight negativity directly is often futile. If effort is to be made, focus solely on nurturing and spreading positivity; negativity will vanish on its own.

​In short, fight evil only enough to deny it the space to expand or the opportunity to dominate. Dedicate all your remaining energy, strength, and resources to the upbringing of goodness; you will then see evil diminishing by itself.

​I have observed that evil possesses no inherent power; it becomes strong through our own reactions. When we excessively condemn evils, we are unknowingly advertising them and making them 'glorified.' Conversely, when we ignore them, we refuse to be the medium that carries them to others.

​Friends! You cannot save everyone from evil, but you can certainly save yourself. You can become a living example and a symbol of goodness yourself."
